Aseem Inam is the Chair in Urban Design in the School of Architecture at Cardiff University in the UK, and the Director of TRULAB: Laboratory for Designing Urban Transformation, a pioneering research-based practice in the US. Previously, he was the John Bousfield Distinguished Visitor in Urban Planning at the University of Toronto, and the founding Director of the highly innovative Graduate Program in Urban Practice at the Parsons School of Design in New York. In addition to several award-winning journal articles and book chapters, he has published two books, Designing Urban Transformation, and Planning for the Unplanned: Recovering from Crises in Megacities. As the Director of TRULAB, he has led several projects in urban transformation. He has also practiced as an architect, urban designer and city planner in Brazil, France, Canada, Greece, Haiti, India, Morocco and the United States.
