Dr. Papillault is both a full professor at the school of architecture, Toulouse (professeur à l’école nationale supérieure d’architecture de Toulouse) and the principal of an internationally-recognized design practice called AARP (http://www.aarp.fr/). He specializes in designing and planning projects in historic contexts and heritage settlements having earned the highest possible professional certification in the French system. He is also a trustee of the Foundation Le Corbusier and has maintained close connections with India, visiting the country more than 30 times over the past two decades. Dr. Papillault’s broader agenda entails training the next generation of globally-oriented design professionals, who are both sensitive to local architectural traditions and contemporary planning practices in different parts of the World. In line with this thinking, he has organized many overseas design studios and workshops to diverse places like Cagliari, Rome, Porto, Brasilia and Hanoi apart from the Indian cities of Chandigarh and Jaipur.
